Rentals in other areas of Caribbean
Antigua and Barbuda, located in the Leeward Islands, have some of the best white sand beaches and coves in the Caribbean, some of which are deserted.
Antigua, the bigger island of the two, is lively with good transport links from the UK, US and many of the other Caribbean islands. It is an excellent location for water sports, especially sailing. It is also one of the few locations in the Caribbean to have casinos. The island has been heavily fortified in the past and this can be seen in the many forts and in Nelson's dockyard which was used by the royal navy during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Many buildings in the dockyard have been restored and house many artifacts from that era.
Barbuda, located 30 miles to the north, is much smaller and quieter with superb beaches but very little accommodation to hire, apart from some very upmarket resort hotels. Antigua, on the other hand, has a good selection of self catering villas and apartments to let.
