The properties below should provide you with a residential riding holiday. Some of them may also provide stabling for your own horse or pony. Your accommodation will usually be located within the equestrian centre although it may be off-site. The individual adverts should tell you more in detail and you should check your exact requirements with the owner or manager. In general, these properties should not just be near a riding centre but should be providing an actual riding experience. If your requirement is just to have access to some riding at times, then please go to our Advanced Search and check the Horse Riding box there.

Hearult is a department of the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France bordering the Mediterranean. The geography of the department is diverse, from the sandy beaches and lagoons of the coast to the mountainous region of the Cevennes in the north and in between an area of agricultural land supporting one of the most prolific vine growing regions of France. The towns of Sete, Cap d'Agde and Marseillan form the focal point of the coast and offer all you could want for a beach holiday, with numerous water sport activities, marinas, canals and waterways. Why not hire a boat for a day in Agde and cruise the Canal du Midi which runs from the port of Sete to Toulouse and then onto the Atlantic via the canal du Garonne. Not far from the coast at opposite ends of the department you will find the lively towns of Bezier and Montpellier with their open air cafes, street performers and numerous music festivals. If hiking, climbing, caving, fishing or just relaxing amongst spectacular scenery are your things then head further inland through the many award winning vineyards to the upper Languedoc national park at the foothills of the Massif Central or,to the east, to the spectacular gorges and limestone plateaux of the Cevennes. Canoe down the rapids of the Herault river through the tree covered gorges of the Cevennes or visit the caves at Le Moulin or Saint-Jean-de-fos.
