From the front of the property this spacious villa offers panoramic sea views over the bays of San Antoni de Calonge and Palamos. As well as the 12x6m pool at the villa, guests also have access to a communal pool and tennis courts just a minute's walk away. From the grounds at the rear of the property you can enjoy views of the countryside while the large flat lawn area to the front of the property is ideal for sunbathing and childrens' games.

The Property
This is a substantial villa, sized for resident occupancy by a large family.
The villa comprises 5 double bedrooms the 5th being in a self contained flat located beneath the main building at garden level. All bedrooms have ensuite bathroom facilities. The villa sleeps 10 adults plus 2 children.
A large lounge area overlooks the garden and leads into an office area. There is also a separate dining area and a large separate well-equipped kitchen. In the hall is a further seating area.
At the front of the property are 2000 square metres of gardens with a panoramic sea view and a large swimming pool. To the rear lie another 2000 square metres of wooded land which also belongs to the property and makes an excellent adventure play area for children.

The pool is deep but has a shallow walled off area for children. However, in our opinion, small children would require supervision at all times.

*** Finca Vert is set in the hills behind St Antonio de Calonge and Palamos and close to the mediaeval village of Calonge. It lies in the Baix Emporda region of the Costa Brave, a lovely area of green rolling hills stretching down to a coastline that varies from sandy beaches to breathtaking rocky coves. Close by are the cities of Girona, Barcelona and Figueres, all well worth a visit for their architecture and historical interest. The French border is around an hour's drive away and the spectacular Pyrenees can be reached in around an hour and a half. The area is dotted with unspoilt mediaeval villages such as Pals, Monells and Madremanya.
The Coast
Sandy beaches abound including the completely unspoilt beach of Castells, the long wild stretch of beach at Pals, the beach of St Antonio de Calonge, S'Agaro beach, Palamos beach and St Feliu beach. Immediately north of St Antonio is a series of spectacular rocky coves and a breathtaking walk along the headlands above them. To the south lie quiet seaside villages of Llafranc and Aigua Blava. All of these are within 20 minutes, the nearest being less than 5 minutes away. The towns of Palamos and St Feliu are particularly pleasant.
Inland
Close by are the cities of Girona, Barcelona and Figueres, all well worth a visit for their architecture and historical interest. The French border is around an hour's drive away and the spectacular Pyrenees can be reached in around an hour and a half. The area is dotted with unspoilt mediaeval villages such as Pals, Monells and Madremanya. One of our favourite drives is through the Gavarres National Park from Calonge to La Bisbal and then on through the fields of sunflowers between Monells and Madremanya.
Golf
There are plenty of Championship Golf Courses to choose from (5 within 40 minutes drive).
Restaurants
There are numerous restaurants in Calonge, St Antonio and Palamos.

Prices quoted are for the main house which sleeps 8 people plus 2 children on temporary beds / mattresses, for which we charge £25 a week to cover laundry charges etc. A cot is available, chargeable at £20 per week.
The house will sleep an additional 2 people in the studio flat. This is available at a price of £200 in May/June/September and £300 in July/August. From July 17th - August 20th, the rental price includes the studio. As it is unheated, the studio is probably unsuitable outside of these times.
Central heating is available on request and is metered and charged at cost.
Reductions are available from October to May for parties of 6 or less. Please contact us for details.

The living area in the villa is open plan, with the lounge leading into the office on one side and the dining room on the other. There is also a spacious seating area in the entrance hall.
