Il Mulino is a restored centuries-old olive mill, complete with metal-gated driveway and walkway entrances, thick stone walls, arches and pieces of the original marble floors. The restoration has been lovingly done to retain the flavor of the original building while adding modern amenities. The views are territorial and extend from Perugia in the north, and across Umbrian valleys and hill towns to the west. The valleys and towns seem to come alive with the morning sun, and the evening sunsets provide a perfect backdrop for tasting the wines bought at the many small Umbrian wineries nearby. The villa is furnished with hand-hewn teak furniture, comfortable sofas, and the terrazzo floors have area rugs from around the world. When the rental side of the house is being used, the owners are not in residence; you have the property to yourselves unless cleared with you in advance.  
 
Along with three bedrooms, the rental has two living room areas, a separate dining room, a dining terrace, and a TV room. A separate terrace on the upper floor is accessible from the outside and from the TV room and master bedroom. The views are spectacular from the house and the terraces.  
 
The pool terrace also affords a view across the countryside, and is an ideal place for relaxing after enjoying all the nearby hill towns have to offer. It is a 5 minute walk into the village, where the local cafe bars serve espresso and snacks, along with beer, wine, grappa, etc.
