We are situated above Rouffiac lake, Dordogne's largest lake with a beach. We have a lovely 12 x 5 pool with a view to relax by. We are within an hour of Perigueux, Sarlat, Brive, Limoges, Brantome. Well placed to explore archaeology sites, historic chateaux, surprising gardens, picturesque villages.
Well appointed one bedroom with ensuit, salon with kitchen and dining area.

The Property
Located near the borders of the Dordogne, Haute Vienne and Correze, Rouffiaguet is ideally placed for exploring the many places of interest in the locallity be they archaeology sites, historic chateaux, surprising gardens, unique events or simply picturesque villages and countyside.
The region immediately around Rouffiaguet is known for it's Limousin cattle, apple orchards, chestnut and walnut plantations.
The market town of St Yrieix (famous for the fine white clay - kaolin used in the production of the renown porcelain of Limoges) is 9 miles north with a delightful old centre.
There is a 12m x 5m pool overlooking the countryside in which to lounge, excercise or simply float whilst soaking up the sunshine.

Notes on Facilities:
The comfortable salon has an integral kitchen and dining area. There is free to view satelite TV and DVD/CD player. The large bedroom has an ensuit shower room. There is a large wardrobe with hanging and shelves also a chest of drawers. There are English socket extensions available. Linen and showere towels are provided but please bring pool towels.
*** Rouffiaguet used to be a farm and is situated above the Lac Rouffiac. It is surrounded by pasture and woodland. There is a chestnut plantation.
For those occasions when touring the area sightseeing must take second place to quiet relaxation, we can offer: English books, DVDs,barbeque, swimming, walking, cycling, table tennis, petanque, darts, board games.
At the bottom of the lane is Lac Rouffiac, a leisure lake with sand beach, teli ski, canoes, pedalos, restaurant, fishing, walking.
Within half an hour there are 3 Chateaux: Jumilac, Hautefort, Cussac Boneval.
There is river canoeing and quad biking within half an hour.
Combining history and picturesque beauty are the thriving market towns of Montingnac (40 mins) Sarlat (60 Mins) Brantome (50 mins) Perigueux (50 mins) Brive (50 mins) Limoges (50 mins).
