Two cottages with their own terraces and patio in a secluded quiet position at the edge of the village on one of the cobbled medieval pedestrianised streets. The village, Ste Agnes, is a protected 'perched' village, the highest on the littoral coast and has won many accolades.
The cottages are furnished to a high degree of comfort, bright and cheerful.Each cottage separate but next door to each other.

The Property
These two cottages are set on the edge of the village of Ste Agnes and enjoy a rare(in this village) privileged position, as they are not overlooked by any other property, and enjoy direct magnificent views onto the mountains and the sea.
The cottages are furnished to a high standard of design and comfort with modern appliances yet retaining their charm. Both properties look out onto the patio and terraces, so are quiet and secluded.
The Stable Cottage consists of a bright airy upstairs with an old farmhouse dining table and a new kitchen. Comfortable arm chairs and a sofa in azure blue. Tiled throughout. There are also electric heaters for winter rentals.
Downstairs is the large double bedroom with a sofa and large bookcases filled with books and pamphlets on what to do and explore. This area has a wooden parquet floor.
Shuttered with double glazing throughout.
The Mousehole has a living/sleeping area with two studio couches and an ensuite bathroom.
Downstairs one finds an attractive kitchen/dining area with 2 Electric cooking plates, fridge and Microwave. This is a light and airy eating place.
NB. The stairs down have a steep pitch so not suitable for young children or elderly persons

Easy to stroll up into the medieval village and explore, safe for children as the whole village is pedestrianised with cobbled streets.

*** A stunning location set within an area that is wonderful to explore. From Ste Agnes at 750 meters above the town of Menton, it enjoys spectacular views across the Cote d'Azur and towards Italy. The Village itself boasts 3 restaurants, with menus catering to the local specialities eg Wild Boar or Rabbit stew, or more sophisticated tastes of haute Cusine. All have outside dining terraces with panoramic views.
There is also a well stocked village shop.
Ste Agnes has the last Fort on the Maginot Line which is open for interesting visits.Walk up to the ancient 10thC ruined chateau, below which is an enchanting medieval garden.
Walking the well sign posted paths, or cycling and horse riding all available on your doorstep.
The village is alive and has many festivals/discos throughout the year, Ste Agnes is celebrated,the Lavender Festival when locals go out to collect wild lavender for the ancient science of making essential oil, still made in the village 400 year old stills.
Menton of the 'belle epoch' era has plenty of shops,a casino, long beaches,and all the water sports plus the Orange and Lemon festival in Feb. Monaco is just 20 mins away and there are further villages to explore. Italy is only 20 mins away and offers a different cusine and everywhere the markets selling fresh produce.
Nice with its old town,art museums and flower market and Festivals/Carnivals is only an hour away. Cannes Film festival is always a magnet and with the Monaco Grand Prix and the Tour de France there is plenty to see and experience. A true feast!
