This Andalucian style villa was completed in 2008. Situated on the urbanisation of Las Kalendas, near Fortuna, Murcia. We chose this area because of its year-round appeal. Sitting at an altitude of over 800ft and cloaked by hills, this region of Murcia has a unique microclimate, which ensures a comfortable temperature all year. 
 
It is 2Km from the hot Spas of Los Baños, which provide natural hot pools at any time adding to the off-season appeal. The spa is well know in Spain and regarded for its healing properties. The location provides an excellent base for those who like to explore. It is less than an hour from the coastal regions of Alicante and Torrevieja, with the Mar Menor and Benidorm just a little further. Murcia is also one of the fastest growing golfing regions in Spain, or indeed in Europe with many golf courses, including the Polaris World resort, within 40 minutes drive. 
 
There are two communal pools (soon to be three) and the villa is fully equipped with everything you will need for your stay. There is a large rooftop solarium, barbeque and covered patio for eating outdoors. The Villa sleeps 6 -8 with one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the main living area. There are 3 bath/shower rooms including en-suite in the double bedroom. TV with UK Freeview and Game Cube in the living area. Bring your own Sky card to enhance your viewing, but note that not all channels are receivable due to the satellite positions. Please note that communal pools may not be open out of season as it would be too cold, but Spa pools are open year round. 
 
•Special Features - We have a child with special needs and some mobility problems so we had this villa built to accommodate wheelchair users. All the living and sleeping accommodation is on one level. All doors and entrances are wider than normal to accommodate wheelchair users. There is level access from the off road car standing and patio and a wheelchair accessible wet room with low shower hook. The Costa Calida/Murcia region gets Approx 326 days of sun shine a year, Fortuna is situated close to the city of Murcia, an historical, beautiful city, with the plaza and cathedral not to be missed, shop til you drop from local stores to international super stores including the new Nueva Condomina shopping park just off the motorway. Fortuna is only 40 minutes from coastal attractions such as water parks, theme parks, dolphin attractions, beach, and approx 3 hours from a ski resort! There are many golf resorts within 30 minutes to 1 hour away. Fortuna is a small historical town that was given its name by the Romans. It has many historical links that date back to the Roman times. The famous black caves, the hot roman water spa's, where you can treat yourself to massage, sauna, and bathe in the hot pools that are a constant 36˚c. The near by mountains are ideal for picnic's and the spectacular views. Not forgetting the town itself which has many shops that will suit all your needs, as well as the many bars and restaurants, offering Spanish, English and oriental food. There are many fiestas throughout the year, 2 of which are in mid May and the biggest the first two weeks in August. 
 
Nearest Travel Links Airport: Alicante or Murcia (San Javier) both 50 minutes (65k) away. A new airport is being built at Corvera (opening March 2012), just south of Murcia, which will be about 30 minuets away. Murcia 15/20 minutes: 35 km Ferry: Cartagena, 60 minutes: 110 km Car Hire is available from all airports, but book before you go!! Taxis always available at airports. Should be no more than 70-80 euro to Fortuna. 
 
A 20% deposit will secure any available week and full payment is expected 30 days before travel. If booking within 30 days of your travel date, full payment is required immediately. There is also a £50 security/key deposit, returnable after your stay. The weekly tariffs include an allowance for cleaning and linen. If you are planning a stay of more than one week, the second and subsequent weeks will attract a discount. There is a washing machine at the villa for cleaning linen & bedding. Towels are supplied for indoor use, but not for beech or pool use. 
 
The Full payment will be required before receiving the keys. Payment accepted by PayPal, cleared cheque or direct payment to UK bank or Euro equivalent into a Spanish account.
