Eating around the apartment couldn't be easier, you have the choice of all day meals and snacks at the Island bar, or next to the pool the Moorish style a'la carte restaurant, providing relaxed stylish suroundings with cuisine and evening entertainment to match. 
Just outside the complex there are various bars and restaurants, the Terrace Bar, Frosties, Premier bar and a Chinese restaurant all within one or two minutes from your front door.  At the top of Fairways where you park is the 9th Hole bar/restaurant which  provides everything on the menu for takeaway if you want a relaxing evening in the apartment.  
Looking up from the 9th hole you'll see a prominent mountain which if you look carefully you can spot the spectacular Mirador, a fabulous restaurant cut into the mountain side which boasts a top class affordable menu, with the most breathtaking views to Amarilla and its surounding areas. 
The panoramic window of the Mirador allows you to  look down on the villages in the south, from Las Galletas in the west to El Medano and the beatiful Red Mountain (Monta Roja) in the east, on a clear day it is also possible to sea the Island of Gran Canaria.  This is a fabulous place to relax and get a feel of where you are, you can watch the planes going in and out of the airport and you can clearly see the well maintained golf courses of Amarilla Golf and Golf Del Sur. 
The Club House at Amarilla welcomes you to the golf course and sits in its own calm surroundings next to the driving range and the well equipped golf shop.  
You can also enjoy the a'la carte restaurant and relax in the swimming pool. 
Another land mark to look for is Amarilla's newly refurbished  Marina.  You can walk down the golf course to the Marina or take the car, have a drink and maybe try the tapas at the bar.  If you enjoy walking, then behind the bar are steps to a newly formed beach leading to the recently developed coastal walk which has a great selection of restaurants, offering seafood, steak and Mexican and shops all overlooking the sea.  The path will eventually take you to Sanblas, the vibrant centre to Golf Del Sur where you'll find plenty of places to eat and drink, and entertainment to take you well into the night.  The pleasant walk from the marina will take you about 40 minutes, alternatively take the car or a taxi.  If you prefer to stay close to home, stock up at the local farmers market and supermarket and take advantage of the bar-b-que at the apartment. 
The beautiful fishing village of Los Abrigos is only ten minutes drive away from the apartment and is famed for its many seafood restaurants.  The fish is caught fresh and delivered straight to your restaurant from the boat, this is a must for seafood lovers. All the nearby villages hold markets, you will be able to find one most days and some are held at night like the one in Los Abrigos.  Another short ride down the coast will take you to Monta Roja, its beautiful beaches and the town of El Medano, the long sandy beach in the shadow of red mountain is famous for its water spotrs, and at the beach side school you can learn all the skills you would need to go wind surfing or kite boarding.  The town beach with its  boardwalks is just as pretty, it sits infront of the square where you will be able to enjoy a drink and somthing to eat or wander round the stalls on market day.
