Vaux is a quiet hamlet 2kms from the town of Chateauneuf la Foret, ideal for walks in the forest. Large double room on the first floor in a house full of original features. All meals are home cooked served in the kitchen in the traditional French way. Our aim is to provide you with a relaxing, enjoyable holiday.

The Property
Your stay here will allow you to totally unwind, get away from all the pressures of everyday life. Here there is no traffic to speak of, you are free to wander to your heart's content. As a retired cook, I am always aware of how important it is to eat well and sleep well. To this end I raise our own hens and rabbits for the table and grow most of our own vegetables. Whatever appears on the menu for the day, it will always be in season and freshly cooked. During the day, you can go sightseeing to any of the beautiful nearby medieval towns, go fishing, play golf, swim in lake at Chateauneuf la Foret, get to know the locals in the bars and cafés. The scenery always takes people by surprise as we are surrounded by hills and valleys, lakes and forests.

Notes on Facilities:
If parents are bringing small children, they must be supervised at all times, not left alone in the bedroom. The bedroom has a king-size bed plus two other full size singles which are seen as a banquette-lit when not in use.

*** Our nearest town, Chateauneuf la Foret, is situated 30 kms south-east of Limoges, 17 kms south-west of Eymoutiers and 20 kms east of St. Leonard de Noblat. This is a rural part of France where the days are easily filled but evening entertainment is limited to local events unless you travel into Limoges.
