Trikeri Island is situated within the pagasitic gulf ,12 nautical miles from the small city of Volos with it,s waterside fish tavernas , bars and lively nightlife. At present there is a boat taxi travelling there 3 times a day. The nearest point of mainland is 5 minute boat ride away.You can leave your hire car here, if you have one, or have one delivered from the nearest sizeable town of Milina. There is a carpark for you to leave it in.You can then explore the beautiful mountains of the Pelion and visit the white sandy beaches of the Aegean on the other side.There are many interesting tours which are possible in a days drive, taking in the mountain villages with there timber framed traditional Pelion mansion houses , little tree lined squares where you can take shade from the midday sun or have lunch in a little taverna.The Trikeri boat Taxi will then collect you even late at night if you make arrangements before you leave.Trikeri island is a get away from it all type of place , but the Tavernas serve very late and have traditional music occasionaly.Days are spent swimming, snorkeling,fishing, walking or relaxing with a good book.
