Not only this, but a suntrap terrace on the first floor and, the ultimate luxury in the historic centre of the village – a garage for your car.

The Property
Let yourself in and open the electric shutters to park the car in the very generously proportioned garage.
Leave your suitcases in the utility room off the hallway and the ground-floor cloakroom/wc, and walk through the garage to see the garden.
The huge first floor living room is bright and airy. Large windows at both ends bathe the space in natural light all day long, and the refreshing bonus of wonderful through breezes in summertime, which you may top up with a mobile airconditioning unit, should you prefer!
Forget unpacking and flop on the luxurious leather bean-bag style sofa, big enough for the whole family to snuggle up in front of the TV and DVD. A second sofa converts into an extra bed.
As well as the smart contemporary dining suite for eight, a breakfast bar and three stalls perch by the open plan kitchen with its large family-sized fridge, dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven, microwave and everything you need.
Step out onto a sun-trap south-facing terrace for your aperitif. An electric awning keeps the noonday sun at bay, but in the evening, the sunset paints the terrace walls with a honeyed glow.
Perhaps eat downstairs in the garden, where an old abris shelter on the patio area against the tall stone walls offers afternoon shade, and there is a barbecue for grilling the catch bought direct from the fishermen’s wives’ counters next to the village church.
A glass table seats 6-8, whilst children may sprawl on the little lawn.
Upstairs, a master double bedroom suite is spacious with Juliette window, exposed beams and views over the Marseillan rooftops. A new ensuite shower, big enough for two to share.
The large main bathroom boasts twin washbasins, a corner bath with shower above and a heated towel rail. There is a 3rd separate wc.
The second bedroom has double bed.
The third room ideal for kids. A single bed converts to become a double, and bunk beds, have an extra pull out drawer bed to accommodate friends.

The rue Vedel runs from the town hall to the site of the historic hospital, and has always been at the very heart of Marseillan life. It dates back to the Hundred Years War between England and France, when the first ramparts were built to defend the villagers against the army of Edward the Black Prince.
Today’s visitors will find themselves far more welcome.
Marseillan is paradise on earth - a centuries old languedoc village, clustered round the 13th century church and market square, yet spilling out into a fishing port hailed as St Tropez before Bardot.
Venture a few minutes into the village to discover the charming weekly market in the old streets around the 13th century church. Visit the original Noilly Prat vermouth distillery on the port and taste the catch of the day at any one of two dozen restaurants. Dozens of Domaines offer wine tastings (local Picpoul de Pinet white wine ideal with oysters). Discover earthier delights at the village centre restaurants. Le Boulevard - just up the road from the house - is famous for its seafood and great steaks, grilled over an open fire. And you don't even have to go that far ... the nearest restaurant at just at the end of your own street Raise a glass on your own terrace then step outdoors and wander into the centre to dance a July night away at a ball in the streets outside the old church. Play petanque at the boulodrome - in summer locals take on visitors with a series of friendly eveming matches.
Boating and watersports within 10 minutes walk of the house. Miles of long sandy beaches on the Med and the leafy tree-lined Canal de Midi, with its timeless locks and solitary fishermen. Play Pétanque on the shady village square or book a tennis court along the Oystermen's road. Shopping: Legendary Brocante fleamarkets at Marseillan Plage resort, 5 minutes drive from the port, hailed by BBC TV as the ultimate continental boot fairs.
