The building is an attractive traditional stone Welsh cottage about 150 years old. It is cosy and warm with central heating by storage heaters. It is comfortably furnished with a simple cottage style decor, retaining many of the original features. It has some low doorways (1.70metres - 5ft 7ins). 
 
At the front of the cottage is a small walled front garden.  
Outside the back door is a mountain stream. A footbridge leads to the charming informal back garden with views of Dolwyddelan Castle, Snowdon and Moel Siabod. It has a profusion of flowers throughout the Spring and Summer and a sheltered slate patio with garden chairs for picnics and sunbathing (weather permitting!).

*** The village of Dolwyddelan is situated in the Snowdonia National Park, on the A470 about halfway between Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog. It lies at the foot of Moel Siabod (872m, 2861ft) in the beautiful Lledr Valley.  
 
It is conveniently situated for touring in the mountains of Snowdonia, with its many attractions, and for visiting the sandy beaches and resorts of the North and West coasts (30km).
