The present building was an Inn in the early 19th century, called the Paul Pry, named after a famous play of the day. There have, however, been buildings on the site since the 13th century. The house has a medieval stonewall in the dining room and beams of the earlier 17th century timber-framed house in the sitting room and main bedroom.There is a garden to the rear and parking. It is two minutes away from the centre but in a quiet location.

The Property
This holiday cottage is close to the centre of Ludlow in Shropshire so lets you explore the town with ease. It is ideally situated for those wanting to visit the Ludlow Festival, Ludlow Food and Drink Festival and the increasingly popular Medieval (Fayre) Fair in November. There is also fishing nearby and intersting walks.

The kitchen contains oak units and has ample working space. A door from the kitchen leads to the pretty, private, walled, rear garden with flowerbeds shrubs, trees and garden chairs. There are two paved areas where you can sit and enjoy the warmth of the summer days and evenings as you wait for the barbecue to cook. The first paved area is close to the house and has steps leading down to the gravelled pathway and to the other paved area and flowerbeds. As darkness falls, the garden lighting enables you to continue to make the most of living al fresco. There is a small pond for the benefit of the resident frogs.
*** Paul Pry is close to the centre of Ludlow with its restaurants, pubs, distinctive shops and a host of historic buildings. Open markets are regularly held where you can buy local produce. Nearby, are pleasant walks in beautiful Shropshire and Welsh countryside that surrounds the Ludlow area. For those who enjoy fishing, geology and fossil hunting the area is ideal.

Prices start from £319 in the low season January - February and November to December. School holidays and national holidays are more expesive.
Short breaks are available all year round. In the high season they only be booked 2 weeks in advance.
Ludlow attracts a variety of people, those who enjoy walking, eating, exploring or are just visiting the Arts Fetival, Food Festival or Medieval Fayre. Ludlow has 4 independent butchers and bakers and a variety of shops that are not part of large national chains. It is the perfect location for a romantic break.
