The market town of Matha is only a few minutes drive away.To the west, only 20 minutes' drive is the ancient town of St Jean d'Angely with its narrow streets and weekly markets. To the south, Cognac and the city of Saintes are both about a 30 minute drive. The coastline of the Charente-Maritime is ideal for lazy days at the beach.
The traffic free roads and lanes around Gibourne are perfect for a quiet stroll or bike ride. For the fisherman the rivers and coast are excellent. There are so many things for you to do, from boating, horse riding, golfing wine tasting and adventure parks to just soaking up the sun.
