The Property
Welcome to luxury. Welcome to Spillenberg House; the official residence of the physicians to the Hungarian monarchy in the 14th and 15th Century.
The house was originally established in the 12th Century in the Gothic style, evidence of which can be seen within the commercial ground floor. After a devastating town fire in 1550, the house was rebuilt in classical renaissance style from 1550-1580 as reflected in the exquisite façade.
Since the fall of communism, the interior partitions have been removed and this renaissance palace has been lovingly and extensively restored using local workman and original materials.
You will have full access to over 200 square meters of accommodation spread across two floors. Admire the exquisite vaulted ceilings of the kitchen, dining hall, stairwells, ante room, jury and main bedroom. Alternatively admire the reconstructed beamed ceilings of the second and third bedrooms all of which are en-suite. The windows offer splendid views across the magnificent central square (Namesie Majstra Pavla) of Levoca, which is itself a tentatively listed UNESCO site.
Due to the properties central location, all amenities, entertainments and restaurants are immediately available.

*** Levoca.
Surrounded by ancient walls, enter via Koice Gate(C15th) to see the high baroque Church of the Holy Spirit and Monastery(c.1750). The square holds three major monuments; the Old Town Hall(C15th-17th printed on 100Skk banknote), the Lutheran church(1837) and the C14th Church of St.James with the worlds largest(18.62m) Gothic altar, created by Master Paul. The middle ages buildings afforded by local nobility are exceptionally well preserved.
Behind the square in Klátorská Street are the C14th church and the preserved remains of the old minorities monastery. Nearby is the town's Gotic (C15) Polish Gate. The town is beautiful.
