The apartment is set in a newly converted wine cave close to the centre of Port Vendres, it has been furnished and fitted to a high standard.Situated on the 1st floor, the apartment has a large terrace with lovely views. 
There are lifts to the secure car parking at ground level. 
Port Vendres is on the Cote Vermeille just beside Collioure, both towns favoured by artists due to the stunning light and scenery. 
The fishing port offers many activities and numerous good restaurants in which to sample the daily catch brought in by local fishermen 
Collioure has many boutiques and art galleries. 
Perpignan the capital of the region can be reached by bus or train, there are train services to Barcelona, and frequent bus and boat taxis to surrounding beaches and villages. 
Further inland you can visit Carcassonne, take a trip on the little yellow train, or visit colourful local markets. 
 
Activities locally include sub aqua diving, golf, sailing and fishing. 
There are little coves and beaches within walking distance for swimming, and Argeles-sur-Mer with its seven miles of 'blue flag' sandy beaches is within ten minutes drive. 
The border with Spain is about 20k with the coast road giving wonderful views over the Mediterrean. Outings recommended include a visit to the Salvador Dali Museum or the old city of Girona.
