This traditional house is situated in a typical rural Bulgarian village, 30 minutes from the black Sea coast. It is suitable for a quiet getaway, set in the tranquil Bulgarian countryside with fields surrounding the village and friendly local people. A hire car is required to get about and a variety of interesting and beautiful locations are within driving distance.

The Property
This holiday villa is a typical Bulgarian village house (bungalow) built in the 60's with south and east facing windows and a large area of land. The inside is modern with two toilets, two good sized bedrooms, a kitchen/diner and lounge. There is a separate garage with further rooms and adequate parking. Outside there is a patio area at the front and the back for relaxing in the sunshine. Several trees provide shade at the front of the property and privacy from the road. Cherry cottage is located on a main road in the friendly village and the few shops and bar/cafes are not far away. The infrequent bus service makes a hire car essential for transport and the local town of General Toshevo is only 10 minutes away. The town of Kavarna and the Black Sea is a little further away, about 25 - 30 minutes on the main road to the coast.

*** To the nearest town (General Toshevo) 10km. This town has basically everything you need, shops, bars, restaurants, petrol stations. To the nearest large town (Dobrich) 30km. Dobrich is a bigger place with a wide variety of cafes, restaurants and some street entertainment. To Kaliakra Cape (nature reserve) 40km. To Yovkova (the Romanian border) 25km. To the coast (Kavarna) 30km. To Varna (the main city) 80km.
Kavarna is the closest coastal area with a town and small beach with restaurants. 25-30 mins drive. Balchik is a small sea port with an attractive sea front, cafes, restaurants and stalls selling souvenirs. 40 mins drive. Albena is a beach resort with beautiful beaches and water sports. 45 mins drive.
Varna international airport is 1 hour drive from Cherry Cottage.
A hire car is essential to make the most of the holiday.
Varna is well worth a visit, there is plenty to do there including museums, the cathedral, theatre, beach, dophinarium, shopping, restaurants, go-carting and general sight-seeing. There are maps of Varna and other places for your use in the house.
Within the village there is a local shop for every day needs, bar, cafe, school, church and a forest suitable for an afternoon stroll.
