The Property
Casa Isabella upstairs offers two spacious wooden beamed bedrooms with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, one with a large double Spanish antique bed, the other with two comfortable single beds. Adjoining these rooms is the mezzanine lounge where you can sit and enjoy a good book or choose a film to watch.
Downstairs Ronda style terracotta floor tiles run throughout. The bathroom has been restored within keeping with the rest of the house with a large mosaic walk in shower. There is a comfortable sitting room with unique open fire place with a cast iron log burning stove for those cosy winter evenings, a separate dining room seats four.

El Burgo is situated in the heart of the National Park of Sierra de las Nieves surrounded by olive and almond groves and area declared a world heritage site by UNESCO and a protected biosphere with a rich variety of flora and fauna providing an oasis of peace and tranquility for a relaxing holiday and a perfect base to explore and enjoy the real Spain.
Walking around the narrow and sometimes steep streets you can see that not much has changed around here for many years.
There are still two working olive mills producing olive oil which can be brought in the village along with locally cured hams, goat cheese and honey.
The village pool set in its own gardens is open from June to September.
Special events during the year include Holy week ( Easter ) with its many processions and in August for the village Feria ( Fair )
Visit Ronda for the day with its impressive 18th century bridge spanning the El Tajo gorge over 130 metres high. It has one of the oldest bull rings in Spain with its own museum and one of the best preserved Arab baths in Europe.
Spend some time browsing through the old streets with its very interesting shops selling leather goods, ceramics and all types of hand made Ronda style furniture.
