The Property

Set in a picturesque and much sought after building in La Grande Terche, our apartment offers immediate access to the piste in the winter and well attended gardens in the summer. The balcony looks west up the wooded valley offering a sun trap in the afternoons. The apartment is on the first floor giving excellent access. 
 
The apartment is fully equipped for self catering holidays and comprises a kitchenette with microwave and hob, a breakfast bar, fridge/freezer, all cutlery and crockery and a table and chairs. This leads directly to the balcony for breakfast with a view. With the large front window there is always a bright airy feeling to the apartment, particularly in the afternoons when the sun comes round to the balcony and in through the windows. 
 
Leading from the lounge is a double bedroom with a wonderful view out to the mountains. The bedroom makes a difference in making the apartment feel larger and gives privacy when a group is staying. The apartment is perfect for 4 people but can accommodate 6 with a double bedroom, a double sofa bed and 2 single bunks in the coin nuit area. There is a bathroom equipped with bath and shower and a separate WC  
 
We have a TV and DVD player with a selection of films to watch if you fancy a lazy day indoors, books, board games and a CD player. 
 
The ski locker is located in the 'cave' for storage of boots and skis/boards.

The apartment is situated a 2 minutes walk away from the launderette and all other facilities in the resort.  
 
We do not include bed linen or towels as many of our guests prefer to take their own to keep costs down. We are able to source these for you locally on request.

Location Description

*** Located approximately 1 hour from Geneva airport, the village of St Jean d’Aulps and the ski station of La Grande Terche offer one of the most convenient areas for skiing holidays. This is the gateway to the world-famous ski region of Portes du Soleil offering a vast area of skiiing across France and into Switzerland. It is easily accessible from Geneva by hiring a car or by airport transfer in the winter. We always hire a car because it allows so much more flexibility although there is a reliable network of ski buses and public transport in the winter that is specifically catered for tourists. 
 
For those interested in French cuisine and the typical laid back pace of life this is a great place to visit in the summer where you can wander freely in the mountains and experience the alpine air and feeling of space. There are lots of cultural highlights in the area including the ancient churches throughout the valleys and the Abbey in St Jean d’Aulps. Lake Geneva is only 30 minutes away for the lake-side mediaeval villages and likewise, Lake Annecy is 60 minutes away during the summer.  
 
Local activities include: skiing (the apartment is situated at the base of the piste), snowboarding, walking, climbing, mountain biking, swimming, via ferrata, adventure playgrounds, paragliding (parapente), fishing, golf, rafting and other outdoor pursuits.
