Chalet Garalys is set within private grounds. It is south facing, enjoys panoramic views with a large terrace and garden, which attracts the sun all day. It is in the quiet hamlet of Cugnon, 600 metres from the main lift station and at the edge of the Reserve Naturelle. The chalet is spacious and has been described as a 'home from home, rather than a holiday chalet'.

The Property
The chalet is a traditional Savoyarde chalet, and set within private grounds. It is south west facing and the attracts the sun all day. The location is tranquil and exceptionally scenic, with fabulous panoramic views up to Mont Joly and across the skiing area to the Col du Bonhomme.
The living area has comfortable seating for 7 adults, an LCD television, DVD, CD/Radio and Wi-Fi access (computer not available). There is a wood burning fire place. Wood available in Les Contamines village.
The kitchen is modern and fully equipped to serve 8 people. The cooking hob has 2 electric induction rings and 2 gas rings. A microwave, dishwasher and washing machine are also available.
There are 3 spacious bedrooms. One double and two twins. One twin has a maximum height of 165cms. There is also a single click-clack and a double click-clack in the living area. The maximum occupancy is 8.
There is a bathroom with toilet and in addition a separate shower unit on the groung floor. There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor.
The garden consists of a lawn and large terrasse, which attracts the sun all day. Garden furniture is available. This area is enclosed and private.

Bedroom 1 and the foyer have south facing balconies. Bedroom 3 is a very private large room with a maximum height of 165cm. A travel cot is available on request.

Les Contamines is a traditional, unspoilt and friendly Savoyarde village set in the Mont Blanc Massif. The village, overlooked by the Dome de Miage, is at the end of the Montjoie valley.
Les Contamines is just 20 minutes from the A40 motorway, one hour from Geneva or eight hours drive from Calais. It is 5 minutes from St Gervais and within 30 minutes drive of Megeve, Chamonix and the Mont Blanc Tunnel into Italy.
Les Contamines has an excellent snow record from December through to April. Its 120km of superb well-groomed pistes are excellent for all grades. Beginners, intermediates and mixed ability parties are particularly well catered for. There are some exciting steeper slopes for the adventurous, lots of off piste and two boarder parks. One boarder park is a championship course, whilst the second is in the main village and is floodlit (snow permitting). In winter, vehicles are required to carry snow chains in the Haute Savoie.
Les Contamines is on the Tour de Mont Blanc GR5 walking route and is an excellent base for an active or quiet holiday. There are many varied, marked walks to suit all abilities. The chalet is at the start of several walks including, the Tre-la-Tete glacier and Dome du Miage.
The village annually hosts a round of the French International Open Gaz tennis championship. Local activities include mountaineering, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, dry ski jump slope, adventure park, horse riding, archery, football. Instruction is available for most of these activities. Family activities include playgrounds, crazy golf, and small boating lake, a swimming lake with beach, plus an artificial ski jump.
St Gervais (5 minutes drive) offers a superb outdoor swimming pool with bar and restaurant, ice skating and playground. in the Arve valley (20 min drive) are many activities including lake with beach, swimming, challenging golf courses, and rafting.
