The Property
Il Monastero, dating from 12C to 15C, provides spacious and luxurious acommodation right in the heart of Umbria. A family home during autumn and winter (the antique furniture and artefacts being family collections from round the globe), it provides an ideal summer holiday home for art lovers, wine buffs and 'foodies' as well as nature lovers and walking enthusiasts - or for those who enjoy reading peacefully on the terrace and taking gentle country walks in the nearby hills. You can enjoy the eclectic library (from Australian, American and English literature and poetry to thrillers, from Freud to Art History and world cinema), and entertain family and friends in the stone vaulted - the ideal setting to enjoy tasting some of Umbira's world famous salamis,cheeses, wines and olive oils.
