A high quality apartment centrally located in the tranquil fishing village of Akbuk 250 metres from the beach, harbour and social heart of the village where the majority of the traditional restaurants, bars and supermarkets are located. The apartment is on a small complex with large communal pool, children’s pool and gardens with fully equipped kitchen, balconies overlooking pool/green areas from all rooms and air conditioning/mosquito screens in all rooms.  
 
There is also a weekly market very close to the apartment offering everything from cheap fruit and vegetables to fish, jewellery and spices.  
 
This stunning property is also very close to the dolmus (bus) park which has a bus service into the lively resort of Altinkum, a popular holiday resort apx 15 minutes from Akbuk with stunning beaches, many shops and a main seafront promenade offering countless Turkish and English run bars and restaurants. 
 
The property is ideally suited to those wanting sun, sea and sand, whilst being within easy reach of various other lively resorts such as Altinkum, Bodrum and Kusadasi, as well as places of natural and historical interest, such as the Apollo temple and Bafa Lake (bird watching). 
 
With this apartment there is no need to hire a vehicle at all. We can arrange pick up from both Bodrum and Izmir airports for an additional fee and the property is located in the heart of Akbuk so no need to drive to get to the beach and harbour (boat trips around the bay). Also during the evening the majority of restaurants and bars are within a five minute stroll of the apartment. 
 
In summary, Akbuk is an ideal place to relax and rewind as it is a tranquil village, situated in a large bay with shallow waters, surrounded by green mountains and protected pine forests. 
 
Car hire is available for a reasonable price locally if you wish to explore further afield.

Location Description

*** Akbuk is a traditional Turkish village backed by protected pine forests and green mountains, infamous for its sunsets and is within a crystal clear bay with shallow water so bathing in the sea is very safe. The apartment is only a 5 minute stroll from the beach, harbour (with fishing and pleasure boats) and social heart of the village where all the main restaurants and bars are located in Akbuk. The resort is very popular with Turkish holiday makers during the high season giving it a real Turkish vibrancy. Outside of the peak summer months of July and August the village is more tranquil when relaxation is the order of the day.  
 
This stunning property is also very close to the dolmus (bus) park which has a bus service into the lively resort of Altinkum, a popular holiday resort apx 15 minutes from Akbuk with stunning beaches, many shops and a main seafront promenade offering countless Turkish and English run bars and restaurants 
 
There are a wide variety of activities available around Akbuk which include walking, cycling, Jeep safari. Trips including the water park, Apollo temple in nearby Didim, Bafa lake, scuba diving, and a large number of boat trips both from Akbuk and Altinkum (over to the Greek Island of Kos). There are organised day trips from Altinkum for those who do not wish to drive to a large majority of the above mentioned locations including Bodrum and Kusadasi, as well as a number of archaeological and other sites including Ephesus and Pumakkalae. All activities can be booked locally and you can be picked up from the apartment or explore yourself by the local dolmus which is extremely cheap.

A £100 non-refundable deposit is payable to confirm your booking.  
 
Final payment is due 8 weeks prior to occupation, alongwith an additional £100 security deposit which will be retained to cover any damages or extra cleaning. This security deposit will be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure from the property subject to any deductions to cover any breakages, damages or extra cleaning.  
 
Smoking is only permitted on the balconies. No pets allowed. 
 
Towels are provided for personal use only please bring your own towels for beach or poolside usage.
