The Property

 
On the first floor at one end of the Jardim Paraiso building our apartment enjoys: 2 air conditioned bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with spa bath & 1 with fitted shower), a modern well equipped kitchen, Freesat TV, air conditioned living/dining room, front terrace (north) with dining furniture, rear terrace (south) with dining furniture and secure underground parking. Additionally there is a huge roof terrace equipped with 4 sunloungers, 4 chairs, table and parasol. Jardim Pariaso is a small complex situated on the southern edge of the village its elevated location giving panoramic views over Guia and the surrounding countryside. Within easy walking distance are shops, banks, restaurants, bars and the other village amenities.

Our home in the sun has been equipped to a high standard. Extras like the spa bath & hair dryer make the difference. The air conditioning units (in each bedroom & the living/dining room) provide heating as well as cool air. Additionally there are rooms fans & 3 portable electric radiators for off season use. A further refinement is that all windows have built in insect blinds - fresh air & no bugs! 
 
Our television (32" Sony Bravia) has Freesat (BBC, ITV etc + BBC HD & ITV1 HD) & local channels. We provide a DVD player & a mini hi-fi with CD & radio. All in the well furnished & comfortable living/dining room. Fully tiled the spacious kitchen is equipped to a high standard & complimented by the two bathrooms.  
 
Roomy & bright the principal bedroom has a double bed & the other two singles. Both have ample built in wardrobes & access to the rear terrace. They also have air conditioning / heating, wall mirrors, rugs on wooden floors & other home comforts. There is a safe for guests use.

Location Description

*** Some of the best beaches that the Algarve has to offer are within 10 mins drive down minor roads. As well as the lengthy Praia de Gale (stretching westwards towards Armacao de Pera) with its sports facilities snack bar and restaurants there are many secluded sandy coves with sculptured sandstone cliffs and azure sea. The choice and variety is extensive. For those who like more hustle and bustle Albufeira is less than 15 mins away with its famous marina, historic old town and even more beaches! 
 
Famous for its range of authentic restaurants, all the facilities in the village of Guia are within easy walking distance. With its 27 restaurants (at the last count!) and various bars Guia is a great place in which to wine and dine. Nearby you will find the Algarve home of Sir Cliff Richard and his famous vineyard. In the village is a marvelous supermarket, newsagents (with UK press) a butchers, bakers, bottle shop, post office, chemists, hairdressers, internet cafe and snack bars. There ia a small local market, banks with cash machines and lots more. The medical centre is within 50 yards. Although the village is truly Portuguese all are made welcome by truly friendly and helpful locals. All the facilities are nearby when needed and in the meantime you can simply relax and soak up the sun. 
 
Beyond the village are tiny hamlets nestling in green countryside, vineyards and citrus groves. The coast lies to the south and inland there is an interesting hinterland with more villages and hamlets to explore. Well know centres like Lagos, Portimao, Silves (with its Moorish Castle), Albufeira, Faro and Vilamoura can all be reached easily. In the distance you can see the mountains of Monchique with its famous spa. In fact the best that the Algarve has to offer is all less than an hour away.

At the rear of the property in a natural suntrap are the large communal pool & the barbque area. They are set in well maintained gardens & when the sun goes down the pool & garden lighting maintain the ambience. A great place in which to relax & soak up the sun. 
 
As well as off road parking at the front of the property visitors can make use of the secure underground car park. It has remote entrance facilities & lighting. Stairs give quick access to our property. If you have to leave valuables (golf clubs) in your vehicle this is an added bonus. 
 
Claiming to have 27 restaurants (at the last count!) and various bars Guia is a great place in which to wine and dine. In the village is a well stocked supermarket, newsagents (with UK press) a butchers, bakers, bottle shop, post office, chemists, hairdressers, internet cafe and snack bars. Praia (beach) do Gale is less then 10 minutes drive and streteches for several miles westwards to Armacao de Pera. Going east along the coast road towards Albufiera with its old town and famous marina you will find some spectacular secluded coves and larger beaches. They have sandstone cliffs, unusual rock formations, fine golden sand and cystal clear sea. They are also all well signposted and easy to find. 
 
Our apartment is in a beautiful location overlooking both countryside and village with the Monchique Mountains in the background. All this is within minutes of some of the most spectacular beaches on the Algarve. With such a fabulous selection of shops and typically Portuguese restaurants close enough to reach on foot, the only reason to venture outside the village (apart from the beaches!) is to take the children to the waterparks or Zoomarine, or to enjoy a few rounds of golf - the kind of diversity and versatility that will appeal to people of all ages and interests in a country where the sun is guaranteed to shine pretty well all year round. Such are the attractions of the village that Sir Cliff Richard has his Algarve home and famous vineyards not far from Jardim Paraiso. 
 
Out of the village travelling towards Albufeira on the N125 you will find the Algarve Shopping complex with dozens of interesting shops, a hypermarket and a multi screen cinema. In the other direction is the renound Zoomarine Park a great attraction for children and adults alike. 
 
In accordance with new Portuguese regulations the property has been licensed for holiday use by the Municipality of Albufeira having easily met their minimum safety and comfort standards - CMA Licence NÂș37/2008
