The Property
The House is in the heart of a tranquil medieval hilltop village in Abruzzo Italy whose inhabitants total 500. 42km from Pescara airport (daily Ryanair flights from Stansted), The village is called Bisenti in the province of Teramo and is one of those quintessentially Italian villagios with cobbled streets and Romeo and Juliet balconies. Its centrepiece is a 14th century church whose bells can be heard from wherever you are in the village. The house is a few minutes walk from a local supermarket, bank and post office as well as a number of quality eating establishments. The open air swimming pool, accessible between June and September, is a mere 5 minute walk from the house. This house which borders a national park, is 45 minutes from a ski resort, Prati di Tivo, and 40 minutes from the beach and, it is ideally situated for walking and trekking holidays. The village is 43km from Pescara international airport. Use of a car is recommended due to irregular bus service from airport. The house is ideally situated for local walks through the hills. There are many scenic walks just 5 minutes from the house as well as a river which can be accessed from a path behind the house. A beautiful medieval village with a central church and ancient tower. There are restuarants, pizzerias, bars, cafes, supermarkets and a bank all within easy walking distance of the property. There is also a recently built communal swimming pool a mere 10 minutes walk away. The beach is 40km away and the house is less than one hours drive from the nearest ski resort - Prati di Tivo.

The rental charge is £300 per week for any week of the year. A pro-rata rate is possible. Please enquire for stays of less than one week. A minimum stay of 3 nights is required. An additional deposit of £150 is required which will be returned once an inspection of the property has been carried out post-stay.
The house provides the opportunity for a getting-away-from-it-all holiday. It is a peaceful environment but with all amenities close at hand. The locals are really friendly and welcome visitors to this as yet undiscovered corner of Italy. The local restaurants are great for those who enjoy home-made Italian food made from the freshest ingredients and there are numerous wine and cheese making establishments in the area which you can visit to see how these products are made. A romantic setting - wander through the village in the evening admiring the quintessentially Italian architure, cobbled roads and narrow streets. The sound of the church bells can be heard from wherever you are in the village.
