La Maugerie is a 300 year old Normandy farmhouse which we have refurbished to a very high standard whilst retaining many of the original features.
Sitting on the edge of a small peaceful village with a shop / bar / tabac, La Maugerie has been lovingly and sympathetically restored by its present owners, with plenty of character but also modern features to make your stay with us enjoyable.

The Property
This is our third season running our Chambre d`hotes . We bought our 300 year old farmhouse in March 2007 and after many long months of shedding blood, sweat & tears we opened in June 2008. We are very busy during the summer months and then we recover mentally and physically in the winter to begin it all again at Easter.
We would like to think that you will stay with us again here at La Maugerie and enjoy your visit as much as you did the first time.
The guest dining room has a huge granite fireplace with woodburning stove, keeping you warm during the cooler evenings. From here the original oak staircase leads you to your room which, whilst having plenty of character, also has all the modern comforts you would wish for.
As well as the scrumptious breakfast we offer homecooked three course evening meals with complimentary bottle of wine at very reasonable rates. Take a look at our guest book to see how our dinners are appreciated by our visitors.
As our guests enjoy the tranquil setting here at La Maugerie, we do not encourage children under ten years of age.

Relax in one of our three spacious bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and drink in the beautiful views across the Vire valley from your windows.

Our family room sleeps 4, with a double and 2 single beds, this room too is en-suite
