Sougey ski chalet is a beautifully renovated farmhouse in Samoens in the Grand Massif consisting of 3 very spacious self catered apartments. The Lower Chalet sleeps 8 people in three bedrooms and has two bathrooms, the 3-bed Chalet Apartment sleeps 6 and the 2-bed Chalet Apartment sleeps 4. 
 
Open-fire, log burner, UK television and wi-fi are in all three apartments. The kitchens are well-equipped and there is plenty of dining space.  
 
The property is serviced by the free ski bus which stops right outside the front door and takes guests directly to the Samoens gondola and the huge and undiscovered Grand Massif Ski area.  
 
The Grand Massif is a huge and relatively undiscovered ski area just one hour from Geneva near the Swiss border. It has over 270km of pistes, including a 15km run from Flaine back to Samoens, endless off piste and a very good snow record. 
 
Samoens is a beautiful, listed French alpine town situated at the edge of the Grand Massif ski area, and is linked directly via a fast new Gondola built in 2002. Though retaining the feel of rural France, Samoens is also a great place for Apres ski. It has a quaint main square surrounded by bars and restaurants open well into the small hours. The town puts on weekly entertainment such as live music, fire works, wine tasting, markets, story-telling, ice-hockey matches .... 
 
Views are spectacular over the Mont Blanc ridgeline, and the nature reserve canyon leading to the Swiss border is simply spectacular both in the summer and winter. 
 
In the Summer there is a huge range of activities to choose from - hiking, mountain biking (using the ski lifts!), rafting and paragliding to name a few. The ski lifts operate from June to September throughout the area and it is easy to access the chamonix and Portes du Soleil valleys.
