The new 18 hole Golf Course at Puerto del Carmen is only 5 minutes from the villa as is 'Rancho Texas' wild west theme park.

The Property

The 'Las Villas' area in which this villa is set is predominately a residential area, popular with many English and German ex-pats and has been chosen, by many, for its quiet surroundings. The accommodation is a two storey house with heated swimming pool set in its own grounds and with sea views. The pool measures approximately 8.5m x 3.7m [28x12ft] and has sunbeds and small tables for your use. We also supply a parasol and a large awning for use in the summer when the sun is at its hottest. The entrance to the villa is from the pool area and on the ground floor there are three bedrooms, 2 are twin bedded rooms, while the third is the master bedroom with double bed. There is also the bathroom with shower attachment. In the cabinet under the stairs you will find a selection of DVD's, CD's and books for your entertainment. The sleeping areas are downstairs as the lower floors stay cooler, than the higher living areas. Once upstairs we have the living/dining room complete with satellite TV, DVD and CD player. There are large french windows leading to the verandah; this overlooks the pool and has a brick built barbecue and table and chairs. Also off the living room is the shower room, perfect for large families [two bathrooms equal less queueing]. The kitchen is also off the living room and is fully equipped with enough crockery and cutlery etc. to easily serve a family of six. There is also an archway in the kitchen leading onto the front balcony, which, with its lovely view of the mountains and the times when it is also in shade, provides a quiet respite from the heat of the day.

Wherever possible we try to supply all your needs, within reason. We are able to supply cots and high chairs if necessary. Please be aware that this villa contains stairs, and as such is not considered suitable for wheelchair users; also, young children have to be watched as all floors are tiled and a tumble, especially down the stairs, can result in nasty injuries.

*** Villa Darcy is so centrally located that the nearest restaurant is within 5 minutes walk and from then on the whole of the Avenida de las Playas is one long selection of bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment.Most restaurants are very reasonbly priced and all offer a childrens menu. They also do a menu of the day which offers a three course meal for a set price, ideal if you are on a budget. Not only is Villa Darcy situated in an ideal spot for all local amenities, but it is also situated just 5 mins [by car] from the new Puerto del Carmen golf course. Only 10 mins walk away we have 'Rancho Texas' a big hit with children of all ages. See the authentic Indian Village, look at the lions, tigers and alligators and to top it all; why not try 'Line Dancing' in the evening, perfect for working off the meals served there. Take a walk to Playa los Pocillos, about 15 mins, for the ideal beach for very young children. Alternatively the main playas have water sports available as well as beautiful sands. There is scuba diving from the small beach just before the harbour. A trip to see the National Park, Timanfaya, is a must and includes a ride around Fire Mountain with a running commentary in several languages. When the tour is over you will be able to sample food cooked over volcanic heat in the restaurant. 
No visit to Lanzarote is complete without visiting the beautiful sands of Papgayo, Teguise Sunday market, Jameos del Agua and Las Cuevas de los Verdes, all of these tours can be arranged by your rep, Louise, who will also help you find your way around by bus if you wish to go it alone.
