The apartment is situated in the Pine Walk area with restaurants and shops nearby. It is 50 paces from the quiet beach, totally safe for children, and there is an available swimming pool nearby. The outstanding feature is the very large south facing terrace fully equipped for al fresco dining and sun bathing. There is also a shaded area with an overhead fan. Rental is from £500 to £975 per week.

The Property

 
The apartment is conveniently situated in the quiet and prestigious Pine Walk area.  
Whilst the beach is just over the road, the other side of the building leads into the Boquer valley, popular with twitchers for the outstanding bird life.  
 
the apartment block was originally built by the airforce officers from the nearby flying boat base where the water carrying, fire fighting, aircraft are housed. 
 
There are some excellent restaurants nearby including the Illa Dor Hotel which has a buffet area at the side of the sea. 
 
We aquired the apartment 11 years ago after renting it for some years previously. Since when we have modernised the kitchen and upgraded the shower and bathrooms. 
 
It is however the sunny terrace where you are likely to spend much of your time that makes the apartment extra special.

The apartment is well equipped with all the appropriate articles that you would expect in a self catering apartment. In addition to the full range of crockery and glassware there is a toaster and a toasted sandwich maker for quick snacks. 
Including the sitting room, each bedroom has its own adjustable air conditioning. 
The nearest supermarket is about 75 yards away with others further on. 
Next door but one is the Laguna Restaurant and Bar which has Wi-Fi and an excellent swimming pool with Sun Loungers alonside. All available for no more than the price of a cup of coffee.

The Pine Walk area in which the apartment is situated was originally developed by merchants from Palma who built palatial villas along the sea front, each with its own quay from which to land from their boats. 
 
Whilst some remain most have been replaced with more modern sizeable buildings in their own grounds. The character however continues and the area is famous for its appearance. 
 
Grocery shopping is nearby as are restaurants. Whilst a pleasant walk to towards the Port finds more restaurants and shops. 
 
On the far side of the Port a range of sea sports are available with appropriate instruction should it be required.
