This spacious detached villa is set in a peaceful location, a short walk from the centre of Praia da Luz and the beach in the attractive Western Algarve. The 3 bedrooms (one double with en-suite and two twins) can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. Beautiful views over Luz and the Atlantic Ocean. Large 10m x 5m swimming pool. The Property
Casa Alimas is approached via a quiet cobbled lane from the centre of Luz. It lies in its own grounds, behind an Almond tree grove. It was built around 1990 and is extremely light, spacious and well-equipped for family holidays.
The sleeping accommodation is on the ground floor, with patio doors from each bedroom leading to the swimming pool patio.
Upstairs (via a marble spiral staircase) is the lounge/dining room and kitchen, with three sets of patio doors leading from the lounge/dining room onto the large, broad balcony, which sweeps around two sides of the villa. Here you can sit and enjoy the ocean views or enjoy a meal cooked on the balcony barbecue.
Outside, the large 10 x 5 metre swimming pool is surrounded by a high wall for privacy and a wide patio with plenty of loungers.
Casa Alimas is air conditioned and heated, so it can be rented throughout the year. It is ideal for summer family holidays and suitable for children of all ages. In the quieter periods of the year, it is often rented by golfing parties and retired people, making a wonderful winter retreat.

All beds use duvets. Bedroom 2 - the large twin room - has a sofa bed in addition to the two single beds. This converts to make two extra single beds, one on a wheeled base that can be placed in Bedroom 1 (the double) if required. In addition there is a single 'z' bed, that can be placed in any of the bedrooms to increase the flexibility of the accommodation. Cots are available for hire from the local management company.
All bedrooms have ample fitted wardrobes and patio doors to a covered patio and leading to the pool patio.

There is air conditioning in all the bedroom and living rooms which will cool and heat the villa. In addition there is a log burning fire in the lounge and electric blowers in the bathrooms.

Praia da Luz is a family resort in the Western Algarve, just outside the attractive town of Lagos. The Blue Flag beach at Luz is a ten minute walk from the villa. At one end the Black Rock dominates the bay, with its remnants of volcanic activity. At the other end there are rock pools. In between there's a long stretch of golden sand.
The paved promenade has a small number of shops and cafés along its length. There are plenty of restaurants in Luz and a good supermarket - all within 10 minutes walk of the villa.
With the opening of the new A22 motorway, it takes about 50 minutes to drive from Faro Airport. Luz is an ideal location to enjoy the local beaches or to explore the rest of the Algarve. Lagos is just a short drive away. This historic town has a wide selection of shops, restaurants and an attractive marina.
There are many other attractive beaches within a short drive of the villa, including the rock grottos near Lagos and the dramatic beaches of the West Coast. The new Boavista golf resort is only a few minutes drive from Casa Alimas.

Peak Summer bookings are usually taken in 14 day blocks, Saturday to Saturday to coincide with UK School holidays. This is cater for the high demand in this period for fortnight holidays. Late bookings outside of these slots may be available.
The prices above are payable in Pounds Sterling and are inclusive for the rental of the villa per week for up to six people sharing. These prices assume payments are made direct to the owner by cheque or BACS payment. Payments by other means (eg credit cards) usually means the involvement of a third-party agency and is likely to incur additional costs. Payment in Euros is possible - details on request.
The price includes:

- All services (maid service, linen, utilities)
- Local villa management services (for local assistance and guidance)
What's not included?
- This is a self-catering holiday
- If your party is greater than six (up to eight persons), a supplement of £35 per extra person per week is normally payable.
- Cots and High Chairs are available for rental from the Villa Manager.

Safety Child gates and a safety rail are fitted on the spiral staircase. Older guests are welcome, although of course the property is on two floors. The stairs are quite easy to negotiate and there are grab rails in the bathrooms. There are a few steps leading down to the pool patio, but generally the patios and garden are on level ground.
Maid Service During the main season, Marina the maid visits each weekday afternoon to clean, look after the linen and towels and to care for the garden. In the winter months, she will visit less frequently.
Local Management While bookings are administered by the owner in the UK, the villa is managed locally in Praia da Luz by a specialist management company. They will look after any queries you have and can arrange excursions, etc.
Booking Information Casa Alimas is normally available to book throughout the year. Change-over day is Saturday, although we can offer more flexibility outside the peak season. During the peak summer season, when demand for the villa is greatest, it is available in fixed fortnightly blocks to coincide with UK school holidays.
