*** The villa is situated on the hillside just outside Kalkan overlooking the village and islands. It is part of the Paradise Holiday Village gated complex, a small exclusive development consisting of a boutique aparthotel and a few privately owned villas with 24 hr security. 
The site enjoys cooling mountain breezes making alfresco living more comfortable for guests in the summer heat The site has paved roads but is quite steep and not ideal as a result for those with significant mobility problems. As well as the Villa's own pool and children's pool, there is a large shared pool onsite and well as a bar and restaurant. The restaurant will be happy to serve your brekfast lunch or dinner on your own pool terrace if you prefer. 
A shuttle bus is available to take guests to and from the village. Kalkan has narrow winding streets with bougainvillea covered houses and upmarket shops winding down to the picturesque harbour and marina area, where there are many excellent sea food and other authentic Turkish restaurants, mostly with terraces with sea and harbour views, a perfect way to end your day. 
Kalkan is situated on Turkey's Turquoise Coast so called in recognition of the greeny blue colour of the coastal waters. The area has a number of excellent beaches particularly at Patara 12km from Kalkan (regular bus service)which is considered one of the top 10 beaches in the world, stretching some 20 km. Also spectacular Kaputas beach best accessed by boat from Kalkan harbour. 
The area was known as Lycia in antiquity and has a rich cultural history with numerous well preserved sites at Patara, Xanthos, Tlos, and Letoon. 
A trip down the coast brings you to the pretty village of Kas, and further on to the sunken city of Kekova-Simena destroyed by an earthquake in 2nd Century AD, where you can take a boat trip over the ruins still visible throuth the crystal clear waters. 
Natural features include spectacular Saklikent gorge.
