*** Domaine La Bouygue is located on a dead end forest road in a hamlet called ""Fontblanque"" between the villages of Penne and Vaour. The region is one of the most charming and unspoiled departments of southwest France and the alluring landscapes are reminiscent of those of Tuscany. Rich in history, this is also a land of medieval villages, magnificent castles and perfectly preserved bastide towns. The area is also renowned for its gastronomic delights; from farmers markets, country auberges and grand restaurants the region is a never ending temptation at whatever level you choose to explore. The Grésigne forest, the oldest and largest (9000 acres) oak forest in Europe, is a paradise for walkers. There are still deer, wild boar and a host of local flora and fauna to be discovered and miles of forest tracks to explore. Gaillac is thought to be where France’s wine heritage originated, having been the first place in France where vines were planted by the Romans.
