Boliqueime is a lively and typically Algarvian village with a good chemist, paper shop, hairdresser, post office, small supermarket and bank. You can use English debit cards in the cash point outside the bank to withdraw money.
There are lots of restaurants in the vicinity. The villa has a handbook in which we have listed the best local restaurants. We are always looking to update this list and encourage our guests to share any hidden gems they discover. The best two village cafes are Pastelaria Jobel opp the church and Panoramica further down on the left, which is better for snacks and sandwiches.
For more serious culinary shopping there are several supermarkets within easy reach. There is the upmarket Apolonia at Amancil (similar to Waitrose), Conitinente (at Algarve Shopping) which is just off the EN125 at Guia, or a French supermarket chain at Ferraras (which is a right turn off the EN125 near to the Albufeira turn off).
Loule, a market town about 20 mins drive from Boliquieme has lots of shops, cafes and restaurants and is well worth a visit. Or if you prefer a mall, Algarve shopping (mentioned above) has a vast array of shops and a cinema complex.
