*** Casa Grande, El Margen is located in hundreds of square miles of rural countryside within the amazing Altiplano region of Granada.  
El Margen is a charming little hamlet situated between the pretty towns of Cullar and Galera in the Granada province of Andalucia. There are two or three bars and restaurants and a small shop. There is also a pretty church and small village square. There nearest larger town is called Cullar which is a delightful and historic town approximately 900 metres above sea level with roughly 5,000 inhabitants. 
It is steeped in a rich history dating back to pre-historic times and there are many archaeological remains there. There was a fine ivory figure carving found in Cullar which is thought to be the work of the ancient people of the Bronze Age. 
There is a weekly market every Monday morning in Cullar and there are many place of interest to visit such as the Cullar river valley which is a lovely natural beauty spot, endless walks and excursions, Lake Negratin, which is around 30 minutes drive away, where during the summer months, you can sail, hire canoes, enjoy lunch at a restaurant overlooking the lake, hire pedaloes or simply swim in the lake without the crowds that you would find at coastal resorts. There are several interesting old 17th Century buildings and a monument in the village worth visiting. 
El Margen is close to 5 natural parks - Sierra de Baza, Sierra de Cazorla, Sierra de Castril, Sierra de Huétor and Sierra de Sagra.
